September 6, 2018 (NEW YORK) – Open-IX, a 501(c)(6) non-profit industry association formed to promote the highest standards for data center interconnection and internet exchanges, has appointed Robert DeVita as its new Executive Director. Effective immediately, DeVita will provide leadership for Open-IX’s mission to identify, create and support the implementation of industry standards for data center, internet exchange operators and cloud connectivity solutions.

Open-IX Achieves ANSI Accreditation by the American National Standards Institute

August 21, 2018 (NEW YORK) – Open-IX, a 501(c)(6) non-profit industry association formed to promote better standards for data center interconnection and internet exchanges, has received recognition as an ANSI Accredited Standards Developer (ASD) by the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) effective August 1, 2018.  ANSI coordinates, facilitates and promotes the development of voluntary consensus standards that are relied upon by the industry, government agencies and consumers across the United States and around the world.

Open-IX Standard Allows Non-Profits and IX Community Members OIX Certifications at No Cost

JANUARY 22, 2018 (NEW YORK)– Open-IX, a 501(c)(6) non-profit industry association formed to promote better standards for data center interconnection and internet exchanges, today announces a newly ratified standard enabling non-profit organizations and internet exchange community members to achieve Open-IX (OIX) certification at no cost. Identical to the costed version, the standard was approved in December 2018 and ratified by the newly elected board.
