NOVEMBER 12, 2020 - Open-IX, a 501(c)(6) non-profit association, formed to define and promote community-regulated interconnection standards for data centers and Internet exchanges, announces it is seeking nominations for the Board of Directors.

The Open-IX Board of Directors has four positions coming open with terms starting 2021-01-01 and ending 2022-12-31. Elections occur annually, and candidates for the Board of Directors shall be elected by an open nomination and election process from among the Open-IX membership. A time commitment of 4-8 hours per month, including bi-weekly board calls and preparation for board calls, committee and community engagement or other duties as may be required to advance the mission of the organization.

Nominations should be submitted to [email protected] no later than Dec 1, 2020. Any member of Open-IX may nominate themselves or another member. To become a member simply sign up under “Get Involved” on our website. Candidates will then be listed on the Open-IX website, with biographies and photos submitted by the candidates, from the end of the nomination period through the conclusion of the election. Members of Open-IX will be able to post endorsements of candidates to the Open-IX website, to appear alongside candidate biographies. Candidates will have the opportunity to make a short presentation during the annual meeting scheduled for Dec 8, 2020, 11am-12:30pm CT.
